All flights arranged by ACP Jets are operated under the strict guidelines of Federal Aviation Regulations Part 135.

Fractional ownership companies and others are operated under Part 91K which is less stringent on requirements than 135.

Here are some of the key differences between the two as far as your flight safety is concerned.

  • Flight Crews under 135 must meet stringent rest and duty limitations as opposed to part 91K where no rest is required between long duty flights
  • Airports used by 135 aircraft must have Weather reporting on site and runways must meet required accelerated stop/accelerated go distances
  • Under 135 a flight crew may not begin an approach to the airport unless the latest weather reports at least the minimums prescribed for the airport.
  • 5 year background checks for crew members are required for 135, whereas none are required for Part 91K.
